723 - Halloween Havoc

722 - Happy Hell-o-ween

 

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch two installments of the 10/31 anthology series. Much like the VHS series from last week, there's little to recommend it, but there are a couple of gems buried in there. 721 - Deathstalking Week 5

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM wrap up their deathstalking with the brand new Deathstalker movie. They also watch V/H/S Halloween because it's October. Can you guess which one is the better film? Tune in for a video game review and stay for a book report.

 

720 - Deathstalking Week 4

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch the fourth but no-long-final Deathstalker movie and it's surprisingly okay. And because it's October, they also watch a Halloween set anthology which is a confusing disappointment. Tune in for some political commentary and stay to find out what DM is watching instead of the X-Files.

 

681 - The Crow Massacre

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM really scrape the bottom of the barrel with one of their Halloween picks. 1962 Halloween Massacre is a very boring, very bloodless slasher movie. The other movie they watched this week is The Crow, and they can't say enough good things about it. 680 - Terror County

 

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM continue their Halloween movie month with two Canadian films that pretend their not Canadian. Berkshire County is pretty solid, if only barely Halloween-themed. Terror Train posits that magic might actually be real, but that's not the point of the movie. Tune in for some complaining about about cereal, and stay to find out what DM's been watching.

679 - Spirit Rock!

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are joined by Rob Rector to ring in the spooky season with a newish movie and an older one. Spirit Halloween is an okay entry-level horror movie for tweens, and Trick or Treat is not really a Halloween movie at all. Tune in for a take down of the redo of Until Dawn, and stay for a movie review.

645 - Halloween Week 3

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM wrap up October by watching two more Halloweeny movie. Hell Fest has a couple of good moments, but falls kind of flat. Totally Killer, on the other, hand is lots of fun even if DM complains about it.

644 - Halloween Week 2

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM try again to watch a couple of Halloween themed or Halloween set movies. The season finale of Scream season 2 kinda wastes your time, and Natty Knocks also wastes your time but not on purpose. Tune in for a video game review and stay for a rousing round of trivia.

643 - Halloween Week 1

This week, DM is back from holiday and she and Count Vardulon are digging into a couple Halloween anthologies. Both Slash FM and Slash FM2 have little to offer in the the way of actual Halloween horror, and most the entries are pretty bad. But! A segment called Save Yourself is so good it very nearly redeems both movies. In fact, DM just found this link, so you can watch it without having to sit through all the rest. Tune in for a couple of movie reviews and stay for some RoboCop chat.

634 - Summerween Week 4

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM wrap up Summerween with one more Halloween-set film and another "movie" filmed mostly in winter. In Canada. Trick isn't all that great, and Mania isn't much better but it does spark a conversation about Canadian TV in the '80s, so there's that. Tune in for a movie recommendation and stay to listen to DM complain about season 4 of Angel.

633 - Summerween Week 3

This week, your friend Count Vardulon and DM continue Halloween in June with a surprisingly not terrible movie about cannibals. They also watch a movie from the early 80s they both really enjoy. Tune in for a rant about groceries, and stay for a test-run of a new quiz.

632 - Summerween Week 2

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM continue their Summerween celebrations with Bring It On: Cheer or Die. And it's not terrible! What is kinda bad is Bodies, Bodies, Bodies. Tune in for a video game recommendation, and stay to find our who DM is crushing on from a 23 year-old TV show.

631 - Summerween

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM celebrate Summerween by watching Halloween Ends and another movie that has nothing to do with Halloween, but has the word "hallowed" in the title. Guess which one they liked better! Tune in for a book report and stay to find out how much Angel DM has watched.

610 - Halloweerd

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM return to Halloween Town and watch Halloween Towns 2 and 3. Hopes are high, as are the production values (compared to the first movie). Tune in for a video game recommendation, and stay to listen to DM try to figure out whether she likes a movie.

609 - All Trick No Treat

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch two movies with (almost) the same title and both are pretty bad. Trick or Treats (1982) is about as boring as a movie can be, while Trick or Treat 2019 answers the unasked question, "What if  a Guy Ritchie wannabe saw The Game and then made a movie set on Halloween that has nothing to do with Halloween?" Tune in to hear DM's thoughts on the first few episodes of Andor, and stay to listen to DM embarrass herself at horror trivia.

608 - Halloween 4 Kidz

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch a couple of kid-friendly Halloween movies. Halloweentown is fine for kids, but makes little sense if you're an adult. Hocus Pocus 2 is fun, but misses an opportunity to explore the Sanderson sisters' relationship. Tune in for video game review, and stay for a list of family-friendly horror movies. There's something weird with the sound; sorry about that. 

578 - The Long Halloween

Despite the title, this week's episode is not about The Long Halloween. Rather, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are joined by Rob Rector to dunk on Halloween Kills. Tune in for a disappointingly positive mini-review of The Last Duel, and stay for the briefest discussions about Dune.

539 - Nice Try

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM close out their month of Halloween-themed movies with a couple of stinkers. Actually, it's hard to be mean toward Archaon: The Halloween Summoning because these guys are really working hard, but it's really easy to rip apart The Night Before Halloween because Syfy should be able to do so much better. Tune in to hear DM finally do well in horror trivia, and stay for a list that prompts a debate about what's weird.

538 - Second Chance

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are joined by Film Threat's Rob Rector because he wanted to talk about They Live Inside Us. And talk about it they do! They also talk about the horror anthology in which the shorter (and better?) version of They Live Inside Us first appeared.
