58 - I Spend a Lot of the Day Sitting

This week on TheAvod, Count Vardulon and The Divemistress each review a film the other hasn't seen. While The Count was not a fan of The Stepfather, The DM scored big with Creep though she doesn't really do the movie justice. The two take some time to plug their nominations for the Bloody Disgusting Horror Blog Awards, and then talk Star Wars and vampires for a spell. Unable to control her outrage, The DM takes a moment to complain, yet again, about the movie Frozen, and The Count suggests everyone watch Big Money Rustlas because it, too, looks really stupid but in an entirely different way.

57 - Joss Whedon is Secretly Our Fan

This week on TheAvod, Count Vardulon and The Divemistress talk all manner of genre TV: Fringe, Medium, and of course Dollhouse. The Count waxes philosophical about time travel in his discussion about The Butterfly Effect 3, and The DM gushes about how much she enjoyed Versus. Tune in to hear The Count and The DM weigh in on the Late Nite kerfuffle, and listen out for a review of the first episode of the new Kids in the Hall mini-series, Death Comes to Town.

56 - I Want to Live in a World with Only Mediocre Spider-Man Movies

This week your friends Count Vardulon and The Divemistress talk about the amazing things that happened on Dollhouse last Friday. But before they get to that, they cover Daybreakers and Home Movie. Listen to The DM complain about how The Count missed her birthday! Hear how The Count finally watched District 9!

55 - PartyTown USA!

TheAvod has won its first award! Many thanks to Pax Romano of Billy Loves Stu for the honour!

The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken – excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words.

This week your friends Count Vardulon and The Divemistress are joined once again by Brad McHargue. The three of them run down the best and most questionable horror movies for each year of the past decade and then discuss in depth (read: bitch about) possibly one of the worst movies ever, New Moon. Be sure to listen out for The Count's f-bomb, and The DM chastises the boys for not reading her blog.

54 - On-Star Will Get You A Whore

Image by b_sol, who doesn't know I'm using it.

In the last Avod of 2009, Count Vardulon and The Divemistress are joined by their Eternia correspondent, Mer-Man. Instead of running down a list of the year's and the decade's best and worst, the trio embarque on a discussion about TV commercials, Guy Ritchie, and Mimic. The DM shares with us her failure to sit through Fist of the Vampire, The Count calls dibs on a couple of horror movie senarios, and Mer-Man waxes poetic about Karate Kid 3 . Tune in to find out about everyones new year's resolutions!

53 - Mark Harmon is America's Sweetheart

In this year's Christmas Avod, Count Vardulon and The Divemistress regale their audience with a verse from "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and then talk about horrible movie The Grinch. True to form, The Count talks way too much about the first season of Criminal Minds and The DM finds a way to work NCIS into the conversation. In keeping with the Christmas spirit they talk about hilariously bad Xmas slasher Santa's Slay and zombies. Happy Chrismahannukwanzakah, everyone!

52 - I Heart Alan Tudyk

This week's episode marks exactly one year of weekly broadcasts. However, because TheAvod is only sort-of weekly, the importance is lost on Count Vardulon and The Divemistress. After acknowledging a request to talk a bit about Spiderman, The Count ventures far off topic to talk instead about Dr. Horrible. NCIS LA is again put under the microscope as the duo complain yet again about how bad the show is, and The DM tries to elevate the discussion by talking about opera. Since Dollhouse is freaking amazing, they talk a lot about that, and then, in keeping with talking about good things, they move on to the original Black Christmas. Tune in for a holiday gift exchange, and find out what everyone got for Christmas! Click here to find out what's wrong with the Star Wars prequels!
