458 - Cagelicious

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch a couple of Nicholas Cage movies and it doesn't got well. Mom and Dad is just an idea--no real story and no real end--and Mandy is a self-conscious endurance trial with no payoff. Tune in for a review of the first episode of a TV show, and stay for an upcoming horror movie that's clearly a ripoff of another movie.

  1. Well my point was more that they used copyrighted commissioned art made for the church, but yeah. I wouldn't spend more time on it than needed. It was settled, they were put in the credits for the show and since payment was made for use of the taken art.

Nicholas Cage in a bad movie. Say it ain't so.

  2. Sorry to finally write in and have it be politics, I love your show! I do one horror movie a day for every October and your podcast is my best source of recommendations I build up throughout the year :D

  3. Fun Fact, I listen to your podcast at 2x speed, and I only thought to start listening to podcasts at fast speed when I heard vardo talk about how he watched shows/movies at fast speed

    1. How does it sound? I can only imagine I'm even more shrill at 2x speed :P

    2. It sounds fine, that also has killed my ability to listen to podcasts at normal speed, because everyone talks so slow! :P (plus wmp is pretty good at adjusting pitch so it really does just sound faster). Speaking of podcasts i listen at fast speed, I don't have an itunes account and don't really want one, is there a place i can direct download the new C&D episodes? i have been looking forward to the 2nd season but can't listen :(

    3. Sorry for the delay in replying! C&D is on Castbox, Spotify, and Podbean, PodcastAddict, and Overcast. We'll be on Stitcher just as soon as I get around to it. I'm not an iTunes person either so I use Castbox for podcasts--it has everything iTunes has.

  4. After all the boys loving Mandy Lane this was a great disappointment.
